The M1A2s of this unit were somewhat rare sight in the early 2010s wearing their CARC pattern, as opposed to the ubiquitous tan and variations on that. The 9th Infantry Regiment have a long history with the country, starting in 1950 during the Korean War itself, including such famous engagements as Heartbreak Ridge and Pork Chop Hill.
